Sarkcess music boss and African fastest rapper, Sarkodie yesterday night made Africans and Ghana proud after wining the Best International Flow Category at the 2019 BET HipHop Awards.
The event was held yesterday October 5 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, Georgia, United States
Sarkodie had to beat Falz (Nigeria), Ghetts (U.K.), Kalash (France), Lil Simz (U.K.), Nasty C (South Africa) and Tory Lanez (Canada) to emerge the winner.
With his win yesterday night, Sarkodie is now first rapper to win the newly created category dubbed Best International Flow.
Sarkodie in his acceptance speech dedicated the award to his daughter, Adalyn Owusu Addo (Titi), and used the opportunity to urge the world to visit Ghana as part of the Year of Return celebrations.
In his words: “I just want to say thank you to the Almighty God. To the family, this one is for my lil girl Titi…. I think Africa has always had it and it is about that time. This year is the Year of Return and I will urge each and every one of you here to take a trip back home.”
