The kidnappers who abducted six female students and two staff members from their hostel at the Engravers college in Kaduna State are now demanding fifty million naira as ransom.
This was made known to the public by the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai while briefing reporters in Abuja yesterday on the latest information so far.
The kidnappers have already contacted the parents of the six abducted students and they are demanding a ransom for their release. They demand for money and that is being negotiated,” the governor said
The mother of one of the abducted school girl explained how her daughter called her in the early hours of today with a strange number, weeping and pleading for her to do all within her power to rescue her.
Speaking to AFP in an interview she said; “My daughter called me early Friday morning on a phone number I didn’t know. She was crying and sounded frightened.”
