At least 19 Pregnant women have been rescued in Ikotun, Lagos State by the Lagos State Police Command.
According to the information we gathered, the Pregnant women were found in a baby factory in the Ayanwale area of ikotun.
The two suspects identified as 40-year-old Happiness Ukwuoma and 54-year-old Sherifat Ipeya were both involved in the scandal and were apprehended.
During investigation it was revealed that the nineteen pregnant women where brought from Rivers, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Abia, and Imo states. The Command has launched a manhunt of the principal suspect, Madam Oluchi from Mbano, ImoState.
The victims were mostly abducted for the purpose of getting them pregnant and selling the babies to potential buyers. They were tricked with employment as domestic staff in Lagos.
However, they are often held hostage on getting to Lagos. it was also revealed that the babies are sold for N300,000 and N500,000 depending on the gender.
